The Train to Nowhere by MayMarlow In a world where Voldemort's victory brought forth the golden age of pureblood supremacy, young Harry - an average Durmstrang student - grows surrounded by the same propaganda that has become the gospel truth of the Wizarding World. Injustice is a norm and racism is not only accepted, but actively encouraged. Embracing the status quo becomes harder when Harry finds himself in a train station where the living should not dwell, and a dangerous friend who goes by the name "Tom". This is still a WIP at 50 chapters and the author expects that she will complete it at 95 chapters. I'm not certain how I started reading this as the pairing is not something I'm very interested in, but the writing is good and the universe the author has created is fascinating. This Harry is both similar too and very different from canon Harry. We do get to meet Hermione (who becomes very important to him as the story progresses), Ron (who is displayed as intelligent and able which is such a plus) Luna (who is her wonderful self) and even have glimpses of Draco particularly when the story moves to Hogwarts, but the emphasis here is on Harry. His relationship with his family, Sirius and the friends he makes at Durmstrang are central for much of the story written so far. We start when Harry is 11 and at the time of writing he is 15 so other than the normal puberty and teen hormones, the story so far is very plot rather than relationship orientated and is all the more interesting because of it.
